Founded in 1949, The Cathedral School provides a warm, nurturing and family atmosphere to 132 students in nursery-grade 8. With a ten to one student-teacher ratio, an international student body and placement in the city’s best high schools, The Cathedral School continues its legacy of educating children in the tradition of the classics by offering Ancient Greek to grades 7 and 8, mythology to grades k-4, and the study of drama and its ancient Greek roots to grades 5-8. In addition to the standard core classes of math, English, history, social studies and science, The Cathedral School offers French, chess, computer science, physical education, art and music. Movement classes are offered to early childhood students. The Extended Day Program which runs until 5:30pm, offers a variety of activities and classes, including art, music, hands-on science, acting, language, cooking classes, supervised homework, technology, photography and filmmaking.
