If you are looking for the most fun and unique camping experience for your child, then Camp Horizons is the place for you!!! Children in Kindergarten through 9th grade are housed in a state-of-the-art, air-conditioned facility. Kindergarten and first graders are in a traditional camp program for the first 4 weeks and given two choice periods during the second 4-week session. Grades 2 through 9 are given the opportunity to choose their own schedules to ensure that they always have activities that suit their individual tastes and needs. The camp’s staff is made up of professional, highly qualified, caring people who lead all of the activities. Children looking for fun and excitement can choose from an unlimited array of Camp Horizons’ indoor and outdoor recreational activities, including basketball, soccer, football, cross country, softball, lacrosse, weight training, karate, tennis on one of the camp’s 10 courts, or enjoy some free swim and water games in the camp’s 6-lane, heated indoor pool! Youngsters who are interested in the arts can try their hand at any of Camp Horizon’s 56 creative programs and workshops such as ceramics, jewelry design, pottery, cartooning, puppet making, candle making, design and basketweaving and origami, or take to the stage for their drama, dance and music classes! The campers love it! Camp Horizons also presents weekly special events including professional shows and weekly pizza lunches. Campers are encouraged to join in many other activities such as film and video, photography, Spanish, French, “Create Your Own Web Site,” “How to Be a DJ,” chess, rocketry, cheerleading, newspaper, origami, video games, magic, creative writing and more.
