An intense, yet fun learning experience at one of the nation’s finest institutions . . . The C. Vivian Stringer Basketball Camp is the “Jewel of the East” in girls basketball camps, featuring both day campers and resident campers, and a top notch coaching staff that includes members of the Scarlet Knights Team. The individual camps for girls 8-17 develop players through teaching defensive, offensive and shooting fundamentals. Players are assigned to coaches and separated by age and skill level. At the end of the camp session, coaches provide a written evaluation of all players. The center of all the basketball activities take place at the Louis Brown Athletic Center (RAC). Featuring five full courts, the campers enjoy playing in one of the best on-campus arenas in the East. Resident campers are housed in modern residence halls, and meals are served in the University Dining Hall on Livingston Campus. Residence Halls are supervised by coaches and camp personnel. Only two campers per room are permitted, and roommate requests are not guaranteed. C. Vivian Stringer Basketball Camp boasts many features that help make it a unique summer experience for your child. Every camper receives an official C. Vivian Stringer Camp t-shirt. The camp also boasts an awesome staff of patient and experienced coaches. And don’t forget about individual and team awards and All-Star games. The camp has a strong commitment to the total student-athlete, addressing areas such as academics, recruiting rules, drugs and alcohol abuse, and personal improvement. New this year, The Junior Elite School of Skills will be presented on Saturday and Sunday, July 16-17 for girls entering grades 4-8. Individual Summer Camp programs will be held Thursday-Sunday, July 28-31 for girls entering grades 3-12. Sold out last year, the popular Elite School of Skills program will be held on August 6-7 for girls entering grades 9-12. For more information, call the basketball office at the number above.
