Dr. Jeffrey J. Felixbrod has been a distinguished behavioral psychologist for more than 30 years. He has received numerous accolades for his professional work in the treatment of behavioral problems in children and adults. Dr. Felixbrod has been a member of the American Psychological Association, the New York Academy of Sciences and the Association for Advancement of Behavior Therapy. At the Child Development Clinic of Long Island Jewish-Hillside Medical Center (1973-1976), Dr. Felixbrod worked on the application of behavior modification procedures to the treatment of attention deficit disorder. At St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Westchester, he directed behavior therapy treatment programs for a wide range of children’s problems, including oppositional defiant disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, phobias, anxiety, depression, obesity and bed wetting. Dr. Felixbrod’s research has focused on teaching children techniques for behavioral self-control. His findings were published in the Journal of Educational Psychology and the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis. Dr. Felixbrod is Director of Behavior Therapy Associates and works with highly accomplished Behavior Analysts in the treatment of autism, Asperger’s syndrome, mental retardation and other developmental disabilities.
