At Cross Island’s early childhood summer camp, children ages 3-5.8 enjoy a fun-filled summer focusing on friendship and exploration. Activities include swimming, outdoor play, creative art, music and movement, and more. Camp offers air-conditioned classrooms, picnic areas, and each week offers up a new theme. Every Wednesday campers gear up for a field trip to the zoo, children’s museum or park. The camp’s primary goal is to help each camper develop a positive self-image through the guidance and support of carefully selected teachers and assistant teachers. Cross Island YMCA also offers children ages 6-17 programs like gymnastics, martial arts, trips, outdoor adventures, in-depth drama and the Lisa Beth Gerstman summer camp for those with disabilities. Financial assistance is available. There is a 10 percent discount on early registration done before May 17th.
