The Plainview Nursery School and Summer Camp is a Parent Cooperative that has been serving the community for over 50 years with NAEYC Accredited programs for Toddlers, 3-year-olds and 4-year-olds. “The heart of NAEYC accreditation focuses on the child’s experience,” says Melody Incalcatera, Director of the Plainview Nursery School. “The process carefully considers all aspects of the program including health and safety, staffing ,staff qualifications, and physical environment. The greatest emphasis is on the children’s relationships with the staff and how the program helps each child grow and learn intellectually, physically, socially and emotionally.” The Plainview Nursery School also offers a 6-week camp program (no parent participation required) for children ages 3-5. Program offerings include ½ day (AM & PM available), Mini-Day and a special Full-Day program for Pre-K children. The Summer Camp provides bus service to the surrounding communities. There are daily special activities such as cooking, music, science, and gym. In addition, entertainment is brought in weekly for all children.
