Since
1957, Red Robin Country Day School and Camp has been a specialized Day
Camp, devoted to children 2-9 years of age. The program is carefully
designed to meet the developmental and physical needs of the younger
child. Red Robin Camp does everything the big camps do, but in an environment
that is just right for their campers. Red Robin’s expert, nurturing
staff provides a safe, warm and exciting experience. Full day (9:15AM-4:00PM)
and Midi day (9:15AM-1:00PM) sessions; 4,6,8 and Unique Weeks (choose
any 25 days of camp you wish) are available. Back for summer 2008, the
Red Robin Rain Maze splash playground, providing for hours
of water-filled fun with alleys, slides and bumpers that are sure to
keep all campers cool on those hot and sunny days of summer. Brand new
for summer 2008, Red Robin introduces its own Gagaball Court (an exciting
low impact dodge ball game played below the knees). As always, Red Robin
offers an extremely well rounded program, in a charming and comfortable
setting. Each day is full of activity and fun with American Red Cross
Swim Instruction (the four major strokes, kicking and breathing), exciting,
confidence building sports instruction, arts and crafts, gymnastics,
cookin’, science and nature, computers, music, dance, pony rides,
olympics, special events, and late night shows, just to name a few.
Red Robin handpicks and trains an expert staff who have years of experience
in early childhood development, and campers are placed in small, age-appropriate
groups. The colorful meals include hot and cold lunch options, fruit
and vegetables, as well as morning and afternoon snacks. All campers
are provided with door-to-door transportation on a fleet of late model,
air-conditioned minibuses, each Department of Transportation inspected,
and staffed by the camp’s own drivers, as well as a Red Robin
bus counselor, who ensures that children are seat belted, comfortable
and happy on their ride to and from camp. Red Robin is proudly accredited
by the American Camping Association, and a member of the Long Island
Association of Private Schools and Day Camps.
