White Meadow Temple Nursery and Kindergarten offers programs for children from 13 months – Kindergarten. Specifically, the Nursery School setting is a developmentally appropriate, educational program for children ages 2-5. Their safe and secure facilities include bright, colorful classrooms, indoor playroom and a fenced-in outdoor playground. Programs include: Me and My Shadow, designed for young children ages 13 – 23 months. This in an introduction to group activities and the preschool setting, lead by an enthusiastic caregiver. After-Lunch Bunch is an extended day enrichment program with activities that include cooking, science and nature, computers, and acrobatics. The Full Day Kindergarten program is accredited by the state of New Jersey. Academic subjects include language arts, Hebrew, mathematics, science and social studies. In the afternoon, children enjoy special programs including computers, fine arts and history, physical education and music. Kindergarten maintains a small teacher/student ratio allowing the students to move at their own pace. Kindergarten Afternoon Enrichment is an opportunity for morning public school Kindergarteners to participate in afternoon special programs. Bussing may be available from local schools. Sandcastle Club is their 8-week summer program for children ages 2 – 6. Programs include “theme days” and swim lessons with certified lifeguards in an above ground pool. Parents can choose to send their child 2-5 days a week for a full or half day. The Camp Director ensures all the children a fun-filled summer with “theme weeks,” water play and visits from special guests. Before and After-care is available both during the school year as well as during summer camp. The PTO (Parent-Teacher Organization) sponsors events that include Tot Shabbat, Saturday evening babysitting, Judaic Book fairs, workshops and other holiday celebrations, to which all are welcome.
