In today’s modern athletic arena,
having talent is not enough. It is equally important for an
athlete to perform at his/her peak when the game is on the
line. This is the role of the Strength and Conditioning Coach
- to design and implant a training program that is tailored
to meet the needs of not only the individual athlete, but
also the sports he/she plays to ensure peak performance and
injury prevention. At The Pingry School’s Strength and
Conditioning Camp, athletes will participate in a comprehensive
program that will enhance their muscular strength, running
speed, agility, flexibility, and explosive power. In addition,
athletes will hear from experts in the field of sports medicine
and sports nutrition to learn tips about remaining injury
free and competing at their highest levels. Each athlete will
have access to The Pingry School’s 200-acre campus,
including its expansive athletic playing fields, all-weather
track, state-of-the-art Fitness Center, and 25-meter indoor
pool. Come visit the Martinsville Campus, take a tour of the
facilities, and register for one of the sessions. Sunday tour
dates are May 4 and June 1, both at 1:00 p.m. Transportation
is available upon request. Any interested athlete should visit
The Pingry School web site at www.pingry.org; where there
is a link to the brochure and registration form. Coaches are
welcome to attend for no additional charge and team discounts
are available upon request. For more information, please call
the Camp Directors at (908) 647-5555. Doug Scott, Pingry Strength
Coach, extension 1302 and Joe Forte, Head of Physical Education
and Personal Trainer, extension 1301.
