An affiliate of the American Montessori Society, Nicholas Montessori School is licensed to serve children from as young as 2 1/2 through 6 years. The school’s goal is to provide a free environment where children can be helped to develop socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. Nicholas Montessori School provides students with a specially prepared environment for toddlers as three, four and five year olds are grouped into classrooms together. This enables younger children to observe and learn from the older children, while encouraging mutual respect, friendship and cooperation from one another. A carefully chosen curriculum introduces students to a wide variety of daily activities, including Practical Life; Science; Music; Geography; Indoor and Outdoor Play; Computers; Dramatic Play; Language and Mathematics. Each child is allowed to progress at his or her own pace in small classes that ensure individual attention. They make each child’s time as happy and enjoyable as possible through water play, games, story time, finger plays and more. This well-rounded schedule strengthens self-help skills and begins to lay a positive foundation for the future. Classes are available in 3, 4 and 5 day sessions.
