Montessori of Millburn - Short Hills invites children ages 3 - 5 to be a part of their fun-filled Summer Camp Program! Running from June 9 - August 8, this hands-on summer program offers an array of interactive indoor/outdoor activities that are designed around a different weekly theme, from “Exploring Nature” to “Visiting the Farm/Zoo” to “Medieval Times.” Concepts are presented to young campers through literature, dramatic play, science, arts & crafts, painting, music and waterplay. Occasional special guests and live entertainment will visit the Montessori Camp throughout the summer in order to reinforce and enhance the important weekly themes. Summer camp staff members are made up of the same caring, experienced instructors who teach at the Montessori School throughout the year. These teachers provide a safe, nurturing and supportive environment where enthusiasm, individual learning styles and curiosity are encouraged. They will continue to follow the Montessori philosophy of learning through play and natural curiosity with mutual respect for one another in a structured, mixed-age environment. Summer Camp hours remain the same as the regular school year - Morning Session: 9am-11:30am; Afternoon Session: 12:30-3pm; Full Day Session: 9am-3pm.
