New York Baseball Academy’s exciting summer program is held at The New York Tech campus on the North Shore of Nassau County. They have one of the finest baseball facilities on the East Coast. Boasting a multitude batting cages, teaching stations, and practice areas on one central location, your child is sure to become a better player. Ranked by “Baseball America” as oneof the Top 5 Baseball Schools in the Country. Guest instructors from collegiate professional ranks provide daily clinics over the course of the six weeks available. Players receive an intensive workout schedule that fits easily into their structured daily routine. Willingness to learn and be instructed by their experienced staff will determine your child’s progress. Initially, children will be grouped by age, evaluated by the staff and then regrouped based upon their ability level. The daily instructional program will stress the fundamentals of hitting, throwing, fielding, base stealing, speed development and reaction training. Players will select and take part in a daily position workshop. Emphasis will be in the areas of pitching, infield and catching. Students will participate in instructional games on a daily basis. Coaching will stress defensive and offensive play with emphasis on team effort. A coach to player ratio of 1:6 ensures personal attention. Hot lunch and swimming are available daily. Players may select from one through six weeks of instruction. Parents are welcome to view the campus at their leisure. Door to door transportation from Manhattan, Queens, Nassau and Suffolk.
