Sexual Exploration
They say sexual exploration is starting earlier and earlier these days. However, I was not prepared for what I recently experienced with my formerly inexperienced son. Not long ago, my 3-year-old son and I went to a friend's birthday party. The kids were in the downstairs playroom adjacent to the living room, where some of the dads were watching a football game and simultaneously keeping an eye on the kids.
As the party progressed, I started to notice that most of the kids were upstairs. Where, I asked, was my little boy? I walked downstairs and noticed that the men were completely distracted by a big play that was taking place on the screen. I passed the men and walked into the playroom. I immediately spotted my son sitting on the couch next to a girl…lips locked.
My 3-year-old son's hands were on the little girl's shoulders; her hands were on his back. I froze. Once I regained consciousness, I screamed my child's name. My son jumped up and asked me to please go back upstairs. I couldn't believe it. I turned to the girl, who happened to be 6 years old, and asked her if she was okay. She blushed and said she was fine and they were just playing. Just playing what? I took both of the children upstairs with me and didn't let them out of my sight for the remainder of the evening.
So now that my son hit first base, when can I expect him to round second?

This is a concern, Yes!! Today our society says yes! Look at our TV with Nickelodeon, Disney and our music. They exploits our young girls to be sexual and young boys look. Even in the stores and our malls. Look at the magazine covers and malls, Victoria Secrets displays. Even when a family together to watch a sport games look at the commercials today!! Half Naked woman. Not only that sexual preferences, Is exploited all over!!!! The best thing is to not watch tv and when we see things that are not what our children should see!! change it and call tv stations that you are very upset!!

I can completely relate to this. When my daughter was in kindergarten, I walked in on her and a boy in her grade showing each other their "special parts." That's when I knew to begin the dreaded talks about the birds and the bees.
