Kids at Christmas
I've always loved the holidays. This year, I find myself again feeling excited over the upcoming festivities and thankful for another happy past year. When you have kids, the holidays definitely shift to be all about your children. For me, it's only made this time of year more special. My daughter is now 3. She is so excited about Christmas and Santa coming to visit. She is constantly asking me “How much longer?” My kids have decided that since Santa gets cookies and milk from all of the other houses, they are going to leave him some fruit salad and a cup of coffee. “Give him some energy,” my son says. I think it's a great idea, though Daddy is not too happy about his late-night snack. I can't wait to wake up on Christmas morning and see the happiness and elation on my children's faces. They might think they're getting the best presents, but I'm pretty sure they'll give me plenty to smile about. Take time to celebrate your families. I hope smiles and laughter fill all of your homes!
