Cursing
The other day I was driving to run an errand with my son. In the process of making a turn, I witnessed a vehicle coming straight toward my car at a dangerous speed. Seconds before hitting us, the car veered to the left, narrowly missing our car. Never, in all my years of driving, have I ever been so shocked, appalled and utterly fearful, especially knowing my son was in the back seat. After making my turn, I proceeded to pull over and gain my composure. This was done by unleashing a tirade of words that are too harsh to mention here and extremely too harsh for my 5 year old to hear.
I never thought I would be the parent whom curses in front of her kids. But truth be told, I have let one slip from time to time, and sometimes more than one, as was the case on that lucky day. My kids are aware that these words are for adults only, and they also know when a curse comes out of mommy's mouth it is time to run, because she means business. Is it wrong of me? Of course. I have reprimanded myself many times. However, it seems I can't help it. When my tolerance level is way below tolerant and when patience is running low, these unsavory words seem to slip without any conscious effort.
I do hope my children don't become foul-mouthed young adults because of my outbursts. Somehow I think they will curse from time to time whether I do so in front of them or not. I will however, try to control my potty mouth in their presence, but I can't f^**%*g promise!

Well if you can't control yourself, there is no hope for me at all then!
