Wow. Another day gone by and another wee hours of the morning post from me. Believe me I am NOT trying to turn this into a habit. Some things can't be avoided unfortunately....and this is one of those things. I am in the midst of working my second job at the moment. Which means that some nights I am not even home until 3 or 4 in the morning. Which also means that the later I get in...the later my posts are going to be hitting the web. Like I said, definitely not my intention...but it is what it is. We do what we have to do. And please forgive me if this entry seems brief, abrupt or even unfocused and sorta "all over the place." Please try to remember that this is two nights in a row of me sitting here at my computer while the rest of the world is still asleep. I also have to say that it blows me away how quickly these days seem to be flying lately. I could swear that I JUST got up out of bed today on Saturday.....and here I am almost 24 hours later on Sunday...YEESH! Today was one of those rare Saturdays...and I mean RARE Saturdays...where I really didn't have anywhere to go or anything set to do. So instead I helped Lori straighten up the house, caught up on a little sleep AND made sure to get my own nice, long workout in for the day too.

Made dinner (Baked chicken thighs with mixed veggies and a small baked potato...YUM!) and then headed downstairs for a workout before going to work. I really enjoy lifting weights...even though the cardio part of my workout is the more important one for me personally...I am assuming. Definitely like to lift though...and I embrace it whenever I have the opportunity. I mixed in approximately 300 reps with the weights (did a circuit to try and hit all of my good body with a cardio circuit of 100 sit-ups, push-ups, squats and leg extensions. Strolled out the door here to work at 10 o'clock tonight feeling good and accomplished. But that was then...this is now. Now all I am feeling is tired. And since the sun is just about up and I can't keep my eyes open any is officially time for bed. The battle goes on for me, as it does for everyone. A week from now is the Yankee Stadium run. Two weeks from now I take care of some unfinished business at the Warrior Dash (can't wait!). Plenty to look forward to, including a good, long run to start off my Sunday in a few hours. That is the plan anyway...these things are always subject to change with me. I will be sure to keep you posted. Enjoy what is left of your weekend!
