Late Friday night and I am sitting in front of a computer monitor, crankin out my latest blog entry. Do I know how to freakin' party or WHAT? Ha ha ha. Well it appears that my party days are more or less behind me. That is totally okay with me too, by the way. It is the end of an VERY long week for me personally...and I am happy to see it gone. Just crawled up from the man cave after a quick ab routine using an ordinary deck of cards. You wouldn't think a deck of cards could reduce a grown man to tears, would you? Trust me when I tell ya....they can if you are using them right. Started my day out with a two and a half mile walk...ended it with a long, sweaty ab-routine and last night's episode of Burn Notice on DVR (Awesome show - if you're not watching it - start). Getting ready to crash out and crash out hard my friends. Definitely feel like I have earned it. Tomorrow morning I am hoping to start the day off with a run (it has been tooooo long) and then I will happily take the field of battle in our annual reunion softball game. Perhaps I will even get to be on the winning team this year! Not going to hold my breath for it. Some things just aren't in "the cards" for to speak. It is always alot of fun though and I am looking forward to it. Know what else I am looking forward to? NOT having to work my second job this weekend...which means actually catching up on sleep. YAAAAY! Oh, and before I sign off for the night, I would like to introduce you to a place in my old Astoria stomping grounds that I discovered for the very first time tonight.

No disrepect to my beloved Cronins, which is where I would usually be eating out. But just to try something new a few of us stopped at place called "Bare Burger" on the corner of 34th Street and 31st Avenue. At first glance it looks like an old-fashioned burger joint got into a head-on collision with a modern-day lounge. HOWEVER, while most "burger joints" have beef, turkey and veggie burgers on the menu, this place also had choices like lamb, bison, elk and ostrich! read those right. You also get to choose the kind of bun you want AND everything in the place is organic. Everyone was happy with their meals and the service was really good. My brother tried a lamb burger, my wife ventured out with bison and my dad stuck with plain old beef. Alas, no one was adventurous enough to try the ostrich. Maybe next time...because I will be going back....give it a shot if you're in the area. Good call Stacey! Oh yeah, just in case you were wondering, I stayed away from the baskets of fries and onion rings all over the table and got a small caesar salad to go along with my turkey burger in a whole wheat wrap with lettuce, tomato and avocado....YUM! I am on an avocado kick lately. Which is waaaaay better than the tequila kick I was on back in my early 20's. Trust me. If you ever run across my "brother-from-another-mother" Sid you can ask him....he was there. He won't remember any of it either....but THAT is how you know that we did it correctly...LOL.

Okay, I am officially done...goodnight Gracie!

Thanks for checkin in as always....bring on the weekend!!!
