Yesterday I mentioned how one of the coolest things for someone who had lost alot of weight was the discovery that you suddenly have the freedom to do things that you hadn't been able to do before. Want to know what one of the LEAST coolest feelings is for that same person? The day immediately AFTER that discovery. That is kind of what I find myself going through today. Yesterday I was a part of something really special. I pushed my body through three miles in the hot, humid summer sun. Inside Yankee Stadium mind you. It was both exciting and exhilarating. I was definitely proud of myself for the accomplishment too, because I managed to keep myself jogging the whole entire time. No little breaks. No walking to catch my breath. No photo opportunities along the course. So that was yesterday. Today.....well just plain old monday. That about sums it up. Nothing exciting going on here...just the start of another week. Definitely a "downer" of a day compared to just 24 short hours ago. But have no fear, because another weekend is coming up hot on our heels. And this weekend coming is bringing the Warrior Dash with it! Now THAT is something to get excited over...and believe me, I am. Definitely some unfinished business there for me.

Looking forward to tackling that course, earning my viking/warrior helmet, and getting through it all in one piece. For that to happen I have to keep pushing. Made sure that I was good all day today food-wise. High fiber cereal with banana for breakfast, caesar salad with grilled chicken for lunch, and a veggi-loaded omlette for dinner...yum. Add in some fruit, a yogurt and some granola bars and you have the rest of my day all figured out. Started off the morning with my usual 2-mile walk to the LIRR station. Is it me or has it gotten reeeeeaaaallly humid out there lately? I know it is August now...and I don't mean to complain...but DAMN! Lol. Anyway, started the day with a walk...and ended the day with a workout. Downstairs in my beloved man cave. Just a quick round with the cards before getting ready to turn in. But at least it was something. Tomorrow night I will be down there lifting some weight. It has been awhile and I definitely have that itch. But right now the only itch I have is for sleep. Still catching up after the long, busy weekend. Hope your week is starting off okay so far. Time for me to go get some sleep and scratch that proverbial itch.

Lost another half a pound too, by the way! Thanks for checkin in as always..
