Freda Nogee, PT is a magna cum laude graduate of Boston University. She began her career as assistant director of physical medicine and rehabilitation at French Polyclinic Hospital in New York City, and moved on to become director of clinical education at Booth Memorial Medical Center in Queens, NY. She opened and ran Physical Therapy Services, a private practice, serving adults and children with injuries and disabilities for 25 years. During school terms, when not teaching Schroth programs, she presently assists autistic young adults at Nassau BOCES with their motor development. Regarding scoliosis, Ms. Nogee developed protocols for screenings and fought to get them into the schools long before it was standard procedure. She got involved with Schroth methodology after researching alternatives for two of her own daughters who have scoliosis. Ms. Nogee believes that individuals should have as much control as possible over their medical conditions. She is the only certified practitioner in the New York area trained in Schroth Best Practice™- the newest and most user-friendly form of Schroth. She is passionate about this program and is excited to be able to offer this effective approach.
